Agreement
By creating an account or using Knock you agree to these terms. If you use Knock on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Knock lets you manage products, plans, taxes, quotes, subscriptions, invoices and payments, and use the Pip assistant. Features may change as the product evolves. Knock is a hackathon project and is provided without any uptime commitment.
Accounts
- The first account created in a Knock workspace becomes its administrator. Administrators are responsible for inviting staff and customers and for the actions taken under their workspace.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your password confidential. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Your data
You own the billing data you put into Knock. You give us a limited licence to host, process and display it solely to run the service for you. You are responsible for having the right to enter any customer data, and for the accuracy of invoices, GST and other tax details you issue. Knock calculates tax from rates you configure; it does not give tax advice.
Payments and fees
Knock records payments against invoices. Unless we tell you otherwise in writing, the service is currently offered without charge during the hackathon period. If we introduce paid plans, we will give notice before any charge applies. See the Refund Policy for how refunds work.
AI assistant
Pip can draft records and suggest actions. AI output can be wrong. You must review anything Pip prepares before relying on it, and you remain responsible for the invoices, quotes and changes made in your workspace.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other users at risk.
Intellectual property
Knock, its design and its code are owned by its creators, except for open source components under their own licences. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.
Availability and changes
We try to keep Knock available but do not guarantee it. We may modify, pause or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service we will give reasonable notice and a way to export your data.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law permits. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knock and its creators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, or INR 1,000 if you paid nothing. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Termination
You may stop using Knock and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or to protect the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
